Two crucial matches of Shaheed-e-Milat T20 Cricket Tournament played on Tuesday | KNO

Srinagar, Dec 05 (KNO) : Two crucial league matches of ongoing seventh edition of Shaheed-e-Milat T20 Cricket Tournament were played between Shaheed Irfan Cricket Club v/s Royal Sports Hawal and Valley Boys Safapora v/s FCC Hawal on Tuesday at Islamia College Srinagar amid a huge rush of eager cricket fans of Valley. The first match of the day was played between Shaheed Irfan Cricket Club v/s Royal Sports Hawal in which Mehraj ud Din via his outstanding knock of 44 runs in just 27 balls guided 03-wickets victory over Shaheed Irfan Cricket Club. The 129 runs of target set by Royal Sports Hawal was achieved by their rivals in the last over of the thrilling game. Advocate Bashir Sidiqi and ICICI Bank head, Bohri Kadal Brach Muhammad Aslam gave presented the Man of the Match award. The second match on Tuesday was played between Valley Boys Safapora v/s FCC Hawal where a target of 136 runs was set by the latter to their opponent team. Though a boundary on very first ball of their innings Valley Boys Safapora chasing the target had a bad start and 7 of its players succumb to FCC Hawal bowling attack even before conclusion of 10 overs. At the end of the match Valley Boys Safapora remained just 10 runs away to win the match after whole team collapsed on 126 runs. Rizwan Ahmad who took 3 important wickets was declared player of the match. The Man of the Match award was presented by prominent Social Activist Muhammad Shouq in presence of S. Mazoor, Tanveer Sidiq, Aqib Sidiq and other senior members of Shaheed-e-Milat T20 Cricket Tournament organizing committee. Pertinent to mention here, the last two matches of the second round of the tourney will be played on Wednesday at Islamia College Srinagar.(KNO)
